Bonfire night is just days away and many of us will be looking for a local spectacle to enjoy.

It’s one of the biggest nights of the year on the UK calendar, so with that in mind, the Leader has compiled a list of events taking place across Wrexham.

Here are some of the events taking place across county this week.

The Wrexham Bonfire and Fireworks Display with be held on Penyllan Farm, Marchwiel, LL13 0PF on Sunday, November 5.

The event, which starts at 4pm, will see funfair rides along with games and prizes for everyone who attends. There is also food on offer and entry is £5 per person, and kids under five will get in for free.

The bonfire starts at 6pm, and parking is free.

Chirk AAA’s will also be holding its annual fireworks and bonfire display on Saturday, November 4 on Holyhead Road, Chirk LL14 5NA.

All members and non members are welcome to the display. The gates open a 6pm with the bonfire being lit at 7pm and fireworks at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6 for adults and over 14s, while for children 14 and under it's £3. Three and under get in for free.

Chirk AAA said on Facebook that parking is available at Kronospan, Cadburys and local public car parks.

A Bonfire Night Bonanza will be held at Llay Miners Welfare Institute, LL12 OTH on Friday, November 3.

Gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the firework display at 7pm. There will be fairground rides, food stalls, a kids disco and all bars will be open. Tickets are £5 for adults and £2.50 for chidlren. It is cash only on the gate.

There is also an event in Penycae at the Scout hut on Friday, November 3 at Bryn-Y-Barcut, LL14 2TR according to Facebook.
