THIS September saw youngsters across the region start primary school for the first time.

We take a look at the new starters in their reception classes from across Wrexham and Flintshire, in the first of a series of five photo galleries.

Here there are beaming smiles and bright school jumpers, as schools welcomed these new pupils into their classrooms.
