Parking at a Wrexham COVID-19 vaccination centre is expected to get busy tomorrow (Tuesday, October 10) and over the next few weeks.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) have issued an update on parking at the Catrin Finch Centre, which is limited due to building work, university students and preparations for the Wales v Gibraltar match at the STōK Cae Ras.

A spokesperson said: “We’re asking people travelling by car to remain patient and follow the signs on site. Please keep to your scheduled appointment time and do not arrive early, as this could make parking more difficult for others attending the clinic.

“Patients who arrive late for their appointment because of difficulty parking will still receive their vaccine, but may have a short wait until a member of our team becomes available.”

They added: “As a result of building work, a large number of parking spaces at the Catrin Finch Centre are currently unavailable. Students returning to campus at Wrexham University have significantly increased demand for parking, while further spaces are taken up by preparations being made for the Wales v Gibraltar football match at the Racecourse Ground on Wednesday (October 11).

“We anticipate that pressure on car parking will be greatest on Tuesday and Thursday this week, and on the following two Thursdays (October 19 and October 26). Please share this message with family or friends who are attending a COVID-19 Autumn booster vaccination appointment in Wrexham on these dates.”
