A WREXHAM AFC fan and author was delighted to see his work in the latest episode of the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary.

Peter Jones, born and bred in Wrexham, published his third book 'Wrexham AFC 1864 - 2022 History Only Tells A Story' in September 2022.

The 424-page book tells the history of Wrexham's Football Club, delving into the club's past glory days and misfortune.

Peter, 62, said: "The book took a few years to bring it all together, and for me was a personal achievement to see it completed.

"I'm a lifelong fan of Wrexham, so it was nice to see the book featured on the doc as Rob and Ryan kindly penned an introduction for the book.

"As for the second series of 'Welcome to Wrexham', it's different to the first and is concentrating on more of what the club is about beyond the first team so far, but I've no doubt they will feature more in the series!"

Peter said he hasn't got any immediate plans to write anything else in the near future, but "you never know."
