When and why did you take up photography?

I originally studied for a diploma, hairdressing Level 3. I finished in 2018 and started my own hairdressing business in 2019, but then covid-19 came and my health condition started to change, being diagnosed with fibromyalgia. This led to me reconsidering my career options.

I have been taking pictures since I was about 10-years-old. Back then, I was just playing with a disposable Kodak camera.

In 2020, I borrowed a camera to start practising again. I tried out different styles and learned the angles and how different lighting works. I nearly forgot how much I enjoyed it while getting back into it! I am so happy I have not given up.

As I grew more passion into it while learning, I decided to start doing it as a job in 2023. I enjoy creating these special memories for everyone to cherish and keep. Something for all to look back on years later and to bring a smile on their faces.

What do you love about taking pictures?

I love capturing in-the-moment pictures, especially the ones when people don't notice, when they're enjoying themselves, and see how happy they are when I show them. Also, I love dogs and taking pictures of them, it makes me very happy and content.

Where is your favourite place to take pictures?

Outdoors in the woods and nature. I like capturing natural lighting with people, either with friends, family or simply walking their dogs alone. I think these are the rare, beautiful moments when they're enjoying themselves, living in the moment captured in a picture.

I would go back in time to take photos of my grandparents when they were still around, they have passed on many years ago. I miss them very much.
