WREXHAM were backed by another big crowd as they made it three wins from three with a brilliant performance against Grimsby Town at the Stok Cae Ras.

The Reds ran out 3-0 winners against the Mariners as they moved up to fourth place in League Two.

While Paul Mullin made a bright start on his return to the starting XI, it was his strike partner Ollie Palmer who put the Reds ahead 21 minutes in.

Will Boyle doubled the Wrexham lead 10 minutes later after he did brilliantly to get his header on target from a wicked ball in from James McClean, who returned from international duty with The Republic of Ireland.

Man of the Match Elliot Lee wrapped the game up in the 79th minute as he swept home Sam Dalby’s low cross into the box.

It was a brilliant performance from Wrexham in front of another bumper crowd at home.

10,116 fans were in attendance at the raucous Racecourse, with 1,025 from Grimsby.

Before the game, there was a minute silence in memory of those who lost their lives in the tragic Gresford Colliery Disaster.
