Rugby World Cup at Coedpoeth Library

We're excited about the Rugby World Cup and to show our support for Wales and the home nations we have a promotion of books at Coedpoeth Library for you to borrow. There are books by Welsh players such as Jamie Roberts, Warren Gatland, Lee Byrne, Alun Wyn Jones as well as books by other international players such as Rob Burrow and Brian O'Driscoll. Welsh language Author of the Month

Sonia Edwards is a Welsh poet and writer who writes in Welsh but also translates her own books into English. She was born in Cemaes, Anglesey. After qualifying as a teacher she taught Welsh at Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni. Retiring from teaching Sonia chose to pursue a career in writing and won many awards including the Tir na n-Og Award and the Arts Council Book of the Year Award in 1996. In 1999 she won the Prose Medal at the National Eisteddfod on Anglesey, winning again in 2017 - again at the Anglesey Eisteddfod.

Time to Remember at Ruabon & Rhos Libraries

Join us at Ruabon and Rhos Libraries to share your memories, reminisce with books and music, try out our new activities and meet and chat with others. Time to Remember at Ruabon Library will take place on the third Wednesday of the month at 2pm, with the next session on Wednesday, September 20. Reminisce will take place at Rhos Library on the third Friday of the month at 11am with the next session on September 22. Individuals, families and carers will be very welcome.
