WREXHAM fans were thrilled to see their favourite band on ITV's 'This Morning', but, what have the guys got planned next?

Band members Michael Hett and Mark Jones said the request to attend ITV's 'This Morning' was "completely out of the blue."

Michael said: "We travelled down and spent a couple of days in London before the show. The presenters were superb. They could tell we were nervous so helped us out a lot by telling us what to expect beforehand."

The band opened the Kings of Leon gig at the Racecourse in June which they described as a real honour.

Mike said: "It was great to have even been asked.

"We are still a pub band and we love performing in pubs. The atmosphere is incredible and it's great to hear everyone singing your songs back to you. But it's also very nice to play on bigger stages. Especially since recruiting a fourth member."

On September, 7, the Declan Swans will feature in a 'Global Cancer Awareness' evening at The Turf, Wrexham, from 7pm.

The band was approached after the Terry Fox's Foundation heard Michael's brave cancer story in the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary last year.

After getting in touch, the event came together and will raise awareness and funds for The Shooting Star unit, Wrexham and The Institute for Cancer Research UK, as well as Terry Fox's Foundation in Canada, USA.

Also available on the night will be Terry Fox Charity T-Shirts designed by the legend Ryan Reynolds himself.

When discussing their upcoming plans, the guys said they are currently working on a song in aid of the Gresford Disaster Memorial, the anniversary of which is September 22. The annual fundraiser will hopefully help to restore the centre and commemorate those that were sadly lost 89 years ago.

The band is also looking forward to watching Season 2 of the 'Welcome to Wrexham' documentary this month, feeling proud that Wrexham is finally being promoted and put on the map even further.

Michael said: "If it's anything like the first season, we know it will be great."
