A charity event held by Britain’s youngest blacksmiths has raised hundreds of pounds for Nightingale House Hospice.
Parc Pry Cop 2023 was a “great success” and saw a fun day held at Spider Park in Rhosnesni along with a charity football match.
It was organised by Ollie and Harvey Roberts, who rose to prominence when they set up their own blacksmith business during the first Covid lockdown in 2020 - when they were aged just 13 and 12.
Their story made national headlines, and since then they have been using their platform to help charitable causes. Earlier this year, they won a prestigious Child of Wales award in recognition of their efforts.
Harvey said: “We’re the 7th generation of Blacksmiths in our family. Hopefully, it gets carried on in the family.”

The cousins, from Borras, who continue with their business O & H Metalwork were pleased with the event.
It included food stalls, a bouncy castle, ‘pro soccer’ games, Xplore! Science Discovery Centre, pizza, a bar and more.
Despite the rain in the morning, the event saw a great turn out.
A total of £310 was raised for Nightingale House Hospice, but the cousins didn’t have a specific goal in mind when they organised the event.

Lloyds Bank has also agreed to match the amount raised, meaning that a total of £620 will be going to the hospice.
Both were looking forward to the football match, which was an eight-a-side, adults versus kids game.
They were confident that they were going to win against the adults, however, it was a 3-1 win for the adults.
