BRITAIN'S youngest blacksmiths are organising a charity fun day in Wrexham this weekend.

Ollie and Harvey Roberts, from Borras, have organised the event this Saturday (August 26) in aid of Nightingale House Hospice.

It will take place at the 'Spider Park' on Rhosnesni Lane (LL12 7NB) and will include a host of stalls and activities.

The cousins rose to prominence when they set up their own blacksmith business during the first Covid lockdown in 2020 - when they were aged just 13 and 12.

Their story made national headlines, and since then they have been using their platform to help charitable causes. Earlier this year, they won a presitigious Child of Wales award in recognition of their efforts.

And the boys, who are now aged both 15, are organising the charity fun day for Nightingale House.

The event, named Parc Pry Cop (Welsh translation for Spider Park) will include a kids vs parents football match, totrods, assault course, pizza oven and other food vendors, a DJ, brewery shop, emergency vehicles, stalls and more.

Ollie and Harvey said: "We decided to organise this because there's nothing really like this around the Borras area. We only came up with the idea in May, and didn't really think it was possible in such a short amount of time, but with hours of emails/phone calls and support from grandad and the family, we've done it.

"There's been ups and downs, and it hasn't been easy by a long stretch but with the variety of attractions and trading stalls we have coming, plus a raffle and charity football match, we hope to raise as much as we can for Nightingale House."

They added: "We support Nightingale House throughout the year with various challenges, but we are hoping this one will be the biggest one. This is the first of an annual event. We are hoping to hold Parc Pry Cop every year and grow it.

"A big thank you to Net World Sports for donating goals for the kids vs parents football match."
