A WREXHAM businesswoman in celebrating an award win which recognises her commitment to the city's business community.

Beth Cole has achieved 'Insider Rising Star 2023' award from Wales Business Insider, one of 24 people to have been named from a pool of nominations, and one of only two from North Wales.

The 30-year-old director of Populi Media, who has actively served as a mentor to numerous startups and small businesses, is honoured to have received the recognition.

Beth said: "It's unreal, it's just me and to get these opportunities is incredible. When I found out I'd won, I could not believe it, it's amazing and I'm very humbled by it.

"I've worked with lots of Wrexham businesses, and my efforts have centred on enhancing their online presence, improving websites, social media engagement, and online marketing strategy.

"Additionally, I am a Big Ideas Wales ambassador, highlighting the creative industry and inspiring the next generation of school and college students in our region."

Beth's passion for supporting local has seen her work with several popular Wrexham businesses, including Toast Deli and Cafe, The Happy Hedgehog Cafe and Delta Academy, as well as holding workshops.

And she hopes the city can benefit from the current global spotlight, adding: "The football has taken off but I'm hoping Wrexham businesses are uplifted at the same time, that we can all win as a team."

It wasn't the first time Beth had cause for celebration, having received another accolade earlier this year, with Populi Media winning Best Website Development Company 2023 - Wales in the SME News UK Enterprise Awards.
