MOST of the region's schools were blessed with sunshine for their sports days ahead of the holidays.
And it's a good job too, as the rest of the summer has been a bit of a washout.

It's the annual event that sees the whole school community get competitive over who can run the fastest, jump the highest or is most nimble with cutlery and an egg!
