A HAIR and beauty salon in Gwersyllt is celebrating its 10th anniversary since it opened its doors.

Inspire, based on the Gwersyllt shopping precinct in Wrexham, was opened by owner Melaine (Mel) Denton on July 15, 2013 and has been going strong ever since.

Since then, the salon has seen many changes to the precinct as shops have come and gone, but have seen customers who have been with them for the full ten years.

Senior Stylist, Becky Griffiths said: “It is really busy here, we are right in the centre on Gwersyllt, so we get a lot of foot traffic through the precinct.”

She said that if anything, the salon actually got busier since the pandemic, with customers returning to treat themselves along with new clients.

There are also separate businesses within the salon that cover beauty treatments and nails. This includes Helen Venn and Nia Cartwright, nail technicians, Megan Kelly, a beauty therapist and Connor Wintin, a barber.

To celebrate, on Saturday (July 15) they are having a cake and prosecco to share with the clients, but are running as normal today. This means that clients can join them for their treatments or even just to celebrate.

The salon had also held a raffle earlier this week, with the money raised being donated to the local foodbank in Wrexham/Gwersyllt. The salon tries to help the local community where they can.

Becky said: “Thank you for everyone’s support, it obviously means a lot to all of us, keeps us in a job! Thank you for keeping us going.”
