A WREXHAM beer festival offers people the chance to sample a huge selection of drinks this summer.

William Aston Hall and The Drunk Monk, Wrexham, have joined forces to bring some of the best tasting beers from across the UK to the city, including some of the finest Welsh brewers.

• Polly's Brewing Co. is based in Mold. Their area of expertise lies in pale and hoppy, but the addition of key team members has allowed them to broach into more experimental styles, including sours, stouts, and traditional styles with a modern twist.

Magic Dragon Brewing

Magic Dragon Brewing is based in North Wales and located in the Plassey. It is the oldest micro brewery in Wales surrounded by glorious countryside. They focus on brewing a core range with some seasonal specials. Their ethos is to only brew beer they want to drink as they are a small brewery and they want every brew to count.

Tenby Brewing Company

Tenby Brewing Company

• Tenby Brewing Company on the southwest tip of Wales have been brewing full flavoured independent beers since 2015. They produce a wide range of styles from a diverse core range to seasonal releases and limited edition collaborations with their favourite independent breweries and businesses across the UK.

• Top Rope Brewing are a Liverpool based microbrewery and taproom who love putting hops in a headlock. With a focus on bold, modern styles with a wrestling twist, they brew a little something to keep everyone happy from Ice Cream Pale Ales to big Imperial Stouts, all whilst keeping things vegan friendly.

• Bulletproof Brewing from Plymouth. Their beers are inspired by traditional German large - unfiltered, super clean, crisp, and always vegan.

• Mad Dog Brewery are from Cardiff. They strive to produce an innovative range of top quality, exciting beers. Made possible by their pure Welsh water and attention to sourcing the finest ingredients possible, producing an exciting range of beers reflecting their personalities and experience!

Neon Raptor Brewing Company

• Neon Raptor Brewing Company are based in Nottingham. They create everything from one-off experimental beers to a solid range of their favourite styles. There's also a fair amount of dinosaurs (naturally) and retro video game references involved.

Sommar Brewing Company

Sommar Brewing Company

• Sommar Brewing Company located in Birmingham was established in 2020 to provide freshly brewed craft beer on a tapped-to-order basis. Their craft beer brewery based in Birmingham City Centre brews between three to five beers per week. They have craft beer bars in Birmingham, Harborne, Leicester, Solihull and Worcester.

Taking place at William Aston Hall on Saturday, July 29, the event has two sessions available, noon-5pm or 6pm-11pm, or an all-day ticket option.

With entertainment and food on offer as well as incredible beers booking early is encouraged. A token system will be in place, tokens can be purchased in advance to save time on arrival.
