A BESTSELLING children's author will be visiting Flintshire for a full day of activities.

Cressida Cowell, author-illustrator of the How To Train Your Dragon, will be visiting Ysgol Bryn Coch, in Mold and Mountain Lane CP School, in Buckley, on Wednesday, June 7, talking about her books and writing to more than 650 children.

In the afternoon she will be in The Bookshop in Mold at 4.30pm to sign copies of the 20th anniversary edition of How To Train Your Dragon, and her new paperback, Which Way To Anywhere.

As well as How To Train Your Dragon, former Children's Laureate Cressida is the number one bestselling author-illustrator of The Wizards of Once and the Which Way To Anywhere book series, and the author of the Emily Brown picture books, illustrated by Neal Layton.

She has sold more than 16 million books worldwide in 42 languages. How To Train Your Dragon is also an Academy Award nominated billion-dollar DreamWorks film series, and a TV series available on Netflix and CBBC; The Wizards of Once has also been optioned for film by DreamWorks.
