It is thought that some of the vehicles that were entered had been unsecure at the time for the incidents, police say on the Community Alert website.

A spokesperson said: “We have recently been receiving increased reports in the area relating to entry being gained to vehicles and items stolen, some of which may have been unsecure at the time.”

Whilst North Wales Police are investigating, the update also listed some advice on keeping your vehicles and/or valuables secure.

They were:

  • Please ensure that your vehicles are correctly secured/locked and parked at a safe location where possible, for example in a place covered by CCTV camera(s) and/or under street lighting as this will deter any opportunists.
  • Remove all valuables out of sight within the vehicle.
  • Add an alarm, immobiliser and/or tracking device to your vehicle.
  • Remove the sat-nav's and/or radio's from your vehicle when not in use.
  • If in doubt then double check your vehicle, It might seem like a hassle to check every door, including the boot, but it’s the only sure-fire way of ensuring the car is locked.
