A vehicle was destroyed in a deliberate blaze near Llangollen, fire chiefs have said.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 8.25pm on Tuesday reporting an abandoned vehicle ablaze in Eglwyseg.

One crew and a narrow access vehicle attended the scene to tackle the blaze.

A spokesman for the service confrmed the vehicle sustained 100 per cent fire damage.

The cause of the incident was confirmed to have been deliberate ignition.

Crews were in attendance for around 45 minutes.
