Police confirm a man remains in custody following an arrest on suspicion of attempted murder in Corwen yesterday (Friday, May 5).

The 27-year-old was arrested following reports of a domestic incident in the Clawdd Poncen area of Corwen at 2.35am, and a court has now granted officers more time to question him.

A 33-year-old woman remains in hospital with serious injuries. She is said to be in a stable but critical condition.

Three children were also taken to hospital – one remains with serious injuries and two have now been released.
