A MOLD town councillor is holding a uniform recycling stall this weekend.

Teresa Carberry of the Broncoed Ward, Mold, will be holding the stall at the Daniel Owen Community Centre on Saturday, April 29 from 10am until 2pm.

Teresa revealed that the reasoning behind the stall is due to the continuing need as many local people continue to struggle to make ends meet as the ongoing cost-of-living crisis continues to affect families across Flintshire.

"People have asked me why I continue to run the Uniform Recycling Stall - quite simply because there continues to be a need for it.

The Leader:

"There are so many struggling to make ends meet at present, through no fault of their own, simply to meet the cost of essentials, such as energy and food.

"Families are constantly balancing their household budgets and prioritising their spending. This scheme takes away some of that burden, and importantly prevents good items of clothing being sent to landfill.

"Everyone wins with this sustainable scheme and all because of the generous donations of the community, and the kindness of the Daniel Owen Community Centre staff and trustees, who give their wholehearted support freely to the scheme."

Teresa also took to her official social media channels to say that any donations are much appreciated, with the stall particularly in need of Maes Garmon and Alun School P.E items, large jumpers and sweatshirts.

Blazers for Maes Garmon are sought after items too, with the stall also in need of Ysgol Bryn Coch, Ysgol Glanrafon and Ysgol Bryn Gwalia items.
