POLICE presence in Wrexham City Centre is being stepped up ahead of Wrexham AFC's clash with Boreham Wood on Saturday.
The announcement came from Wrexham Inspector Luke Hughes following Wrexham's win against Yeovil Town on Tuesday.
He said: "Well – small sigh of relief after [Tuesday] night, all eyes on Saturday now and we are expecting it to be really busy in the city centre and hopefully, maybe, possibly a great night to celebrate success. (no pressure)…

"Therefore my appeals for sensible parking, consideration regarding travel, taxis, where to go and what to do, start now.
"Start planning folks; know where you are parking, book a place to watch the game in advance, book a table if you are eating (please eat!), make arrangements for taxis and transport home.
"We are suffering a shortage of taxis and 'blue light taxis' only go to Llay!
"We will be there to keep you all safe and we are putting extra provision in place, but you're grown ups, so please make grown up decisions."
