A STRETCH of the A494 re-opened after a three-vehicle crash. 

The incident occurred in Llanferres, near Moel Famau on Monday evening.

North Wales Police confirmed just before 7.20pm that the road closed both ways, and urged people to avoid the area.

The force confirmed shortly after 10pm that the road had reopened.

A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said a female had been taken to hospital, as well as male who had suffered minor injuries. 

One of the vehicles involved in the crash burst into flames, and sustained 100 per cent damage as a result.
