A DAD and his six-year-old daughter cleared up shards of broken glass from smashed beer bottles at a park in Flintshire.

Wojciech Nocon took his daughter, to a playground on Brookes Avenue in Broughton the other day (April 2) when they were shocked to discover a large ammount of smashed glass from Budweiser bottles at the foot of a slide and around the climbing frame.

The pair took it upon themselves to clean up the mess. Wojciech said:"My six-year-old daughter Zosia was the first to find the glass and asked me for help.

"There was glass in a few places but I took pictures only there. We cleaned up what we found

"I think whoever did it did it on purpose as the glass came from several bottles and the broken glass was where children could fall in while playing.

The Leader:

"I hope whoever did this will reconsider their behavior."

Both Flintshire County Council and Broughton and Brettton Community Council have been approached for comment.
