WREXHAM AFC's co-chairmen were in town on Sunday to celebrate a record-breaking afternoon.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney had a double dose of the Racecourse over the weekend, as they took in two Wrexham wins.

The Hollywood pair and their families were in attendance on Saturday as the Reds overcame York City 3-0 and were part of the record-breaking 9,511 that watched the women's side beat Connah's Quay Nomads 2-1.

Goals from TJ Dickens and Rosie Hughes were enough to maintain their winning record.

The fans inside the Racecourse at Sunday's game shattered the previous record of just over 5,000.

It was a day to remember for the women's team who finished the season with 12 wins out of 12 and lifted the league title alongside Rob and Ryan in front of almost 10,000 fans.

The Deadpool and Always Sunny stars were among the celebrations, which saw the title-winning U19's side get recognised, as well as the trophy presentation for the women's side.

They were showered in champagne and Ryan was caught downing a bottle in front of the S4C cameras.

Phil Parkinson was also in attendance, but the day belonged to the women's side who deservedly celebrated their title success in style.
