1) Wrexham Fish Bar
The Egerton Street-based chippy is the highest rated on Tripadvisor, with an average rating of four and a half out of five. And 51 of those who reviewed the chippy rated it excellent.
Reviewers described its food as "absolutely sensational" and "outstanding".
2) Jones's Fish & Chip Shop
In second place is the St George's Crescent-based chippy, with one person describing its fish and chips as the "best in Wrexham".
3) Eddie's Chippy
Located on Pen-Y-Bryn, its latest Tripadvisor review states: "I visited the chippy for the first time and the staff and quality of the food are second to non. Excellent value for money and the quality of the fish is the best I have ever had.
4) The Trawler Fish Bar
In fourth place is the Johnstown chippy, with an average rating of four out of five.
5) Gwersyllt Fish Bar
Coming in fifth place, one reviewer described it as "literally the best chippy I've ever been to".
