THE FIFTH Live on the Square event has been officially confirmed.

The popular Mold music festival will return for what will be its fifth installment on Daniel Owen Square and is sure to be greeted with much anticipation from residents and music fans.

The date for the event has been confirmed for Sunday, April 30, coinciding with the May bank holiday.

Live on the Square has also moved to confirm a number of acts which people can expect to see take to the stage.

Here are the acts which have been confirmed to appear so far:

The Barflys

The band, who hail from Buckley specialise in punk and grunge music and have been playing locally for just under a year.

The Establishment
