POLICE are urging residents to come forward with information following reports of vans being targeted for tool thefts. 

North Wales Police's Wrexham Rural team has said that they have received a number of reports of a transit van in the rural south area. 

The van is alleged to be targeting other vans for tools. 

Inspector Matt Subacchi confirmed that the reports were currently being investigated, but appealed for more information to be passed over.

He said: "We are aware of a number of reports of a transit van in the rural south area, targeting vans for tools.

"The reports already made are under investigation, however, I am aware that some information has not been passed to us.

"If you have any further intel or info re these thefts (CCTV or details of private CCTV or anything witnessed) that will help us to locate the offenders then please let me know."

Residents with knowledge of the reports are encouraged to message the Wrexham Rural police team on Facebook.
