A WOMAN returning from a night out launched an unprovoked attack on her mother when she wouldn't order her a takeaway, a court heard.

Kady-Mai Goodier, of Berwick Road West in Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The 21-year-old admitted that on October 26, she assaulted her mother Rachel Goodier by beating her.

Rhian Jackson, prosecuting, told the court that on the day of the offence, police responded to an abandoned call from the complainant's address in Salisbury Avenue, Saltney.

When they arrived, the defendant answered the door and tried to close it again - but officers entered.

They spoke with the complainant, who confirmed her daughter had been out drinking in Chester and had come in and asked her mum to order a takeaway for her.

When she refused to give her daughter her phone for the order, she "kicked off" and started "trashing the room," before pulling her mother's hair and hitting her to the body.

When she was interviewed, the defendant told police she didn't get on with her mother since she (Kady-Mai) had been to prison, and they would frequently argue.

She said on the night in question, she'd consumed a lot of alcohol and was around nine out of ten on the sobriety scale - one being sober, ten being drunk - and she recalled slapping her mother, as well as pulling her hair.

Alex Mackenzie, defending, told the court her client was not a regular user of alcohol and has emotional unstable personality disorder.
