CHIRK Castle is set to close for essential repairs on its driveways at the end of this week.
The medieval fortress of the Welsh Marches, will be closed for one day on Friday, February 17, for the repairs to its roads.
On a Facebook, the castle's operators apologised for the inconvenience and invited people to visit the neighbouring National Trust property at Erddig near Wrexham as an alternative.
Chirk Castle also announced another date for its snowdrop breakfast tour, after the success of their first one this year.

They said: "Due to popular demand, we're running another snowdrops breakfast tour.
"Join us this Saturday morning to kick the weekend off right with a freshly-made full breakfast before venturing outside with a tour guide to admire our popular display of snowdrops."
The event is set to take place on Saturday, February 18 and pre-booking is essential.
