WREXHAM AFC could potentially face Tottenham Hotspur at home in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Following Sunday's epic 3-3 thriller at the Racecourse, the Reds will face Sheffield United in a replay next week for a place in the fifth round.

The winner of the tie at Bramall Lane on February 7 will take on Spurs at home during the last week of February.

It could be a mixed day for Spurs star Heung Min Son, who is a big Wrexham fan according to Elliot Lee.

The two sides have met in the FA Cup before, with the North London side winning a replay in extra time following a 3-3 draw at White Hart Lane.

Wrexham looked like they had done enough to win the tie when Paul Mullin put the Reds ahead with five minutes to play.

But the 10-men Blades responded in the fifth minute of stoppage time when John Egan bundled the ball past Mark Howard in the Wrexham goal.

It was a true cup tie, with a raucous atmosphere at the Racecourse, led by co-owner Ryan Reynolds.

The game did come at a cost to Wrexham with Aaron Hayden and Jordon Tunnicliffe both limping off inside 10 minutes.

Phil Parkinson said that the club could now go into the market for new additions following the injuries to the defensive duo.

With promotion from the National League still the priority, it is unknown how strong Parkinson will go at Bramall Lane, but with the prospect of facing a top Premier League side at home, the Reds could be well up for it.
