A KIND-HEARTED Flintshire child sold his toys so he could buy food for those in need.
Ellis Arrowsmith, from Buckley, raised £30 from selling his old toys - with which he bought a variety of food and drink items.
On Thursday, the nine-year-old donated all the items to the Buckley Community Fridge, which hands out free food to those in need.
Ellis, who attends Westwood Primary School in Buckley, said: "I keep seeing adverts on TV and the news of how people are struggling so I thought I could help someone else with my money because I didn’t need anything."
His mum, Leanne Jenkins, said: "Ellis' Dad and I are very proud of such a kind gesture he has done to help others in need.
"He has such a kind heart for someone of such a young age."
