FLINTSHIRE Foodbank has issued an appeal due to a shortage of volunteers ahead of their Tesco Food Drives this weekend (December 3).

The foodbank took to social media to ask if anyone is available to help out an important cause in the run up to Christmas as they are 'really struggling'.

The post read: "We are really struggling to get enough volunteers to cover our Tesco Food Drive.

"It is such an important event for us in the lead up to Christmas, which provides a much needed boost to our stock.

"We still need volunteers for the following slots tomorrow 3rd December:

Broughton- (10am-12pm), (12pm-2pm), (2pm-4pm)

Mold- (12pm-2pm)

"If you could spare two hours we would be so grateful! We need volunteers to hand out shopping lists at the entrance of the store and accept donations from customers as they leave."

Anyone who can help is encouraged to contact the Flintshire Foodbank via info@flintshire.foodbank.org.uk or by calling 01352 757235.

Alternatively, volunteers can get in touch through the Flintshire Foodbank Facebook page.
