Nightingale House Hospice took its Strictly Come Dancing themed fundraiser to Liverpool, in an event that raised £36,000.

The hospice took over The Titanic Hotel in Merseyside on Saturday, November 26, to bring all the glitz and the glamour of a Strictly show which included business representatives from across the North Wales region.

The event saw participants who had no previous dance experience, paired with professional dancers to compete for the Nightingale Trophy with all proceeds going towards the hospice.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a red-carpet entrance, a glass of fizz followed by a two-course meal.

A spokesperson for Nightingale House said: "On behalf of Nightingale House, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making Strictly Nightingale a huge success.

"We began recruiting our dancers and planning this event back in 2020 before the pandemic changed the world as we knew it causing us to postpone the event twice, so as you can imagine this event has been a long time coming.

"Our fantastic group of dancers, both professional and amateur and have been training hard over the summer months to ensure they put on a wonderful performance for our guests and helped to raise an incredible amount of money for Nightingale House Hospice.

"I would also like to say thank you to the local businesses who supported the event and to our fantastic volunteers who made the event possible.”
