VISIT WALES have awarded Wrexham's Ty Pawb the coveted Attraction Quality Assurance accreditation from Visit Wales following a recent assessment.

The  accreditation seeks to reflects visitors' experience and the quality of the attraction and its staff.

Opening in 2018, Ty Pawb has gone from strength to strength winning various accolades and feats, including narrowly missing out on the Art Fund's Museum of the Year back in July this year. 

Ty Pawb is home to 30 independent traders with local produce sold by market traders in its busy food hall.

In addition, the venue plays host to a high quality art gallery currently displaying the Ty Pawb Open Exhibition, which includes work from over 150 artists across the country, working in a range of media including paint, print and sculpture.

Recognised as a quality destination nationally and internationally, Ty Pawb attracts visitors and artists from far and wide.

Councilor Hugh Jones, Lead Member with responsibility for Tŷ Pawb said: “This is excellent news, and it is well deserved. 

"It is a testament to the vision we had many years ago, to transform a struggling market hall into an attraction to combine markets, art and the community, which would offer a welcoming place for people of all ages and cultures.

"Ty Pawb recognises Wrexham's heritage, which can be clearly seen in many of its exhibitions, as well as trying to support and nurture new talents and businesses that are produced in Wrexham.

"I would like to thank the traders, staff and visitors who have contributed to this recognition from Visit Wales.

"I know they all have a very positive outlook and their determined attitude and creativity have helped form the unique setting that belongs to Tŷ Pawb today."

On a recent visit to Ty Pawb, Dawn Bowden, Deputy Minister for Arts and Sport, commented: "Having seen what Ty Pawb has to offer, I would like to congratulate the Ty Pawb team on their recent accreditation from Visit Wales - a well deserved team. 

"Recognition for the quality of the visitor experience. I am delighted that the Welsh Government has been able to assist in the journey of transforming this space into a vibrant hub of activity for the community and visitors."
