A MOLD restaurant has been awarded the title of ‘Welsh Restaurant of the Year' at the 2022 Welsh Restaurant Awards.

The Deadwood Smokehouse in Mold picked up the accolade at the ceremony which took place last night (November 7) at the Mercure Cardiff Holland House which saw eateries in Wales recognised for their great flavours and customer experiences, as selected by members of the public.

The Flintshire restaurant based on Wrexham Street in Mold is renowned for its American style barbecue flavours with a wide selection of great food and cocktails.

A spokesman for the Deadwood Smokehouse said: “We are delighted to have been recognised nationally.

“Mold and Flintshire are great areas, and it just proves we can compete with the best of them.

“We have a fantastic team and continually try to improve our standards and quality.”

Speaking on behalf of the awards ceremony, a spokesperson for the Welsh Restaurant Awards said: “It is true that Wales combines tastes and flavours from all over the world, where visitors can find different restaurants to meet their needs.
