A MOLD councillor is to hold a free school uniform stall on Friday (October 28) following the success of previous initiatives.

The stall will be held at Daniel Owen Square by Cllr Teresa Carberry, who has previously held free uniforms stalls in a bid to help out families during the cost of living crisis.

Cllr Carberry said: “As a Town and County Councillor, and a former teacher, the issue of school uniforms, their cost and meeting the needs of my community, are always uppermost in my thoughts.

"Using the platform afforded to me, by my community, through their votes, I am able to raise awareness of the issues of cost, provide practical support and save gently worn, outgrown uniform finding its way to landfill.

"The support of the community is key to its success. They drop off the items; I distribute them. We are in this together.”

The uniforms will be free of charge and available from 10am until 2pm.
