Visit from author Bethan Gwanas

Last week, we welcomed author Bethan Gwanas to Mold Library for an extra special event for Welsh learners, speakers and readers. In attendance was a mix of new Welsh speakers who are currently learning Cymraeg with Coleg Cambria or Popeth Cymraeg, and lifelong speakers from Flintshire, Wrexham, Denbighshire and Cheshire.

Bethan talked about all her books, from her first novel, Amdani!, to her latest book, Prawf Mot. She has written books for children, young adults and adults of all ages, and many titles specifically for Welsh learners - such as her popular Blodwen Jones series.

The evening was organised in partnership with Siop y Siswrn and North East Wales Adult Community Learning. The Siop y Siswrn team joined us for this event and were on hand with plenty of books for people to browse through and get signed by Bethan herself. We would like to thank everyone who joined us and hope to welcome Bethan back to library once again very soon.

Many of Bethan's books are available to borrow from Aura libraries as either books, e-books or audiobooks. Remember: you can browse these titles and hundreds more on our online library catalogue!
