A PROVISIONAL trial date has been set for a Flintshire man charged with murder.
Steven Wilkinson, from Buckley, died after an incident that occurred on Precinct Way in Buckley shortly before 10.30pm on Tuesday.
Jamie Scott Mitchell, aged 24, of Lexham Green Close, Buckley, first appeared before Mold Magistrates Court on Saturday morning charged with murder.
This morning (Tuesday, October 11), Mitchell appeared before Mold Crown Court again for a preliminary hearing.
He appeared via video link from HMP Berwyn, Wrexham.

Prosecutor David Mainstone told Judge Rhys Rowlands that the defendant faces a single charge of murder.
After discussions between Judge Rowlands, Mr Mainstone and defence barrister Duncan Bould, it was decided that the case would be adjourned until Monday, January 9, 2023.
The allegation of murder will be put to Mitchell after that hearing and he will enter a plea.
A provisional trial date of April 17, 2023 was set by Judge Rowlands.
