JUST under 10,000 packed into The Racecourse to witness Wrexham AFC's thrilling win over Barnet on Saturday.

The Reds triumphed in a 12-goal encounter to stay in touch with league leaders Notts County.

Braces from Paul Mullin and Aaron Hayden and goals from Tom O'Connor, skipper Luke Young and Ollie Palmer secured a 7-5 win for The Dragons on a crazy day at The Racecourse.

Barnet led briefly in the first half with two goals in three minutes from Nicke Kabamba and Harry Pritchard.

But Wrexham hit back to lead 3-2 at the break, and stretched the lead 7-3 in the second half before a late Barnet brace.

It was the most goals Wrexham have scored in a match since putting seven past Rotherham in 1995 as The Dragons shook off their top-of-the-table defeat by Notts County in mid-week.
