Here are photos from the Red Arrows on the first day of their displays for the Rhyl Airshow.

The RAF's iconic aerobatic team flies in and out of Hawarden Airport, which they use as their base during the Airshow today (August 27) and tomorrow.

The aircraft will stay there overnight for the Airshow, which was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.

The show has a strong RAF presence this year, as well as the Red Arrows’ appearances, and displays by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Grob Tutor.

The Red Arrows flew out of the airport around 5pm today and came back around 5.30pm.

On Sunday, August 28, they will be departing the airport at 4.20pm and arriving back 4.57pm, before flying out of the airfield at 7.20pm.
