THE A55 in Flintshire was closed after a multi-vehicle crash.
The incident occurred westbound between J32 Holywell and J31 Caerwys on Monday.
The westbound carriageway was closed for two and a half hours while emergency services dealt with the collision - which North Wales Police said involves multiple vehicles.

Congestion was stretching back a couple of miles, and remains heavy as of 3.45pm.
A motorist caught in the queue took to social media to say they hadn't moved for 10 minutes.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 1pm today, we were called to reports of a four-vehicle RTC (road traffic collision) on the A55 westbound, in the Pantasaph area in Flintshire, between junctions 32 and 31.
Officers are in attendance at the scene to divert traffic and clear the road.
"The road currently remains blocked whilst three vehicles await recovery.
"Please take alternative routes where possible. Thank you for your assistance."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said “We were called today (August 8) at 1.15pm, to reports of a road traffic collision involving four vehicles, on the A55. We were subsequently stood down by police.”
Motorists are also warned of a crash that has also occurred westbound on the A55 near Abergele.
