IT MAY not have been the result Wrexham AFC hoped for this morning (Thursday, July 21), but the club's loyal supporters were there in good numbers to support them as always.

The Reds fell to a 2-0 defeat as they took on La Liga Segunda side CD Leganes in Alicante, Spain.

Their opponents grabbed two goals in the second half through Juan Munoz and Javier Aviles to secure victory in the 32 degree heat.

That was the first of two friendlies that Phil Parkinson's side will play at the pre-season training camp at Hotel Golf Campoamor.

The second will take place on Saturday evening (July 23) against Nottingham Forest's Under 21's (7pm kick-off UK time).

There were plenty of Wrexham fans in Spain to witness the first bit of action unfold this morning.
