AS ANOTHER academic year ends, performing arts school, Theatretrain is gearing up for a summer of musical theatre fun.

Theatretrain’s summer schools have been a popular destination for youngsters to experience musical theatre during the summer holidays for the past 15 years and this year is shaping up to be no different.

Children between the ages of five and 18 will be able to take part in dancing, acting, and singing workshops whilst also creating a filmed performance to share with family and friends.

The week-long activities are set to take place this August across Mold, Chester, and Wrexham at Ysgol Bryn Coch, Queen’s Park High School and St Margaret’s respectively with each day following a different theme meaning children can choose to join for the full week or attend individual days.

This year’s themes are Disney’s Encanto, Frozen, and High School Musical, in addition to Waitress and cult-classic, Mamma Mia.

Steve Davies, artistic director of the schools in Chester, Wrexham and Mold, said: “This is an exciting year for us. Theatretrain has established itself as a provider of professional training in the performing arts arcoss the UK. We’re thrilled to continue to share our summer workshops across the region this August.”

Workshops will last from 9.30am – 3.30pm priced at £30 for one day or £130 for the week. For more information contact the relevant website
