A CHARITY football match was held on Sunday to raise money for a Flintshire woman who is suffering with severe anorexia.

Amy Ellis from Broughton, Flintshire is trying to raise money to help fund treatment which is only available privately in England.

“I contacted Amy and asked what we could do, she asked us to do a video to help. So, we went a step further and organised a charity match against Bellevue on Sunday on the Matty Jones circle in Johnstown.”

A video was also produced by Ethan Gilbert Media, free of charge to show support for Amy.

The match finished 8-5 to the Vets, whilst referee, Alec Williams donated his fee too to help the cause.

After the match, Geraint added: “I had a voice message from Amy after I sent her the video we made, saying how incredible it was and that it brought a tear to her eye.”

Taking place on Saturday, July 9 between 8am and 8pm, it will see five gym instructors lead the event - which is open to everyone to take part.
