A series of summer camp style micro-festivals have launched at the Hawarden Estate equipped with craft workshops, wild swimming and world class chefs. 

The events are running over four consecutive long weekends in July having started last weekend (1-3 July). 

The camps are run by The Good Life Society and focus on great outdoors, community, food, craft, culture and music.

Charlie Gladstone, Good Life Society founder, said: “Summer Camp is something I’ve often dreamt of creating; a small, friendly, comfortable retreat based on the fabled camps of America but for all ages and with better food."

The intimate event offers both three-day weekend camping tickets as well as evening tickets which include a three-course meal cooked by a guest chef. 

Mr Gladstone said: "This is the place of your dreams."

The intimate festivals have a capacity of just 100 people making it one of the most exclusive festivals in the UK. 

The events boast an array of well known chefs, speakers and musicians including; notonthehighstreet founder Holly Tucker, celebrity chef Max la Manna and Chef TV presenter Thomasina Miers.

Prices for weekend camping start from £161 per night based on two adults sharing. 

This is the second year of 'Summer Camp' following its launch in summer 2021.

Inkeeping with the American summer camp theme guests will enjoy campfires, cooking, DJ sets and fireside singing.

There will also be craft activities, lake swimming, runs, dog walks, abseilling, paddle boarding as well as use of hot tub and sauna facilities. 

The Good Life Society team also run a larger festival event at the estate running in September (16-18) called 'Camp Good Life'.

This event has a capacity of 1,000 people and welcomes acts such as; Cherry Ghost, Laura Groves and Micheal Head.
