WREXHAM AFC has unveiled its new away kit ahead of the 22/23 season - and it's a thing of beauty.

The striking sky blue Macron kit, which features a navy trim, was revealed on social media this morning (Thursday, June 30).

That was with the support of Wrexham Lager – whose brand is synonymous with the colour - and further underlines the club’s ongoing support for local business.

Featuring TikTok as front-of-shirt sponsors, the 2022/23 retail shirt – which will be available for purchase both in store and online from tomorrow (Friday, July 1) - is priced at £44.95 for adult shirts (M to 5XL), £37.50 in children’s sizes (5XS to S), and £29.99 in baby sizes (3-6m to 1-2 years).

The reverse is emblazoned with the slogan ‘YMDRECH MWYAFSWM’ – the Welsh translation of ‘MAXIMUM EFFORT’.

Also on the reverse of the retail kit for the first time is the club's back-of-shirt sponsor, Expedia.

The kit was modelled by stars from Wrexham AFC’s men’s and women’s teams, Luke Young and Kim Dutton, as part of the launch.

Asked about the kit, Young said: “Home or away, it’s an honour to pull on the Wrexham shirt, and I think the new away kit is really smart. Let’s hope we can have a successful season and go one better!”

Dutton added: “I think the new kit is a nice colour and different to what we’ve had previously; it also feels like a great material to play in. I love the phrase on the back too, as both teams gave their all last season and will carry through to the new season.”

After becoming the club’s official short sponsor last season, Ifor Williams Trailers’ logo also appears on the sky blue shorts for 2022/23.

Wrexham AFC Chief Executive Officer, Fleur Robinson said: “We are delighted to be able to unveil our new away kit ahead of what promises to be another memorable campaign, and would like to thank Macron for their efforts as part of our long-standing partnership.

“The final kit design is very impressive, and is one which we are confident will prove popular with players and supporters alike.”

The official home kit and full trainingwear range for the 2022/23 season will also be revealed in due course, as part of preparations for the upcoming campaign.
