LOVE Island star Gemma Owen has finally mentioned who her famous father is on the hit ITV2 show.

The 19-year-old has been one of the stars of the current series and viewers have been waiting for her to name-drop her dad into a conversation.

That is because she is the daughter of former England, Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen.

Gemma - who is an international dressage rider and entrepreneur - has remained tight-lipped about mentioning her dad, until now.

However, it still wasn't in front of her contestants in the villa or partner Luca Bish.

Instead, in a Love Island Unseen Bits episode shown on Saturday night (June 25), Gemma finally mentioned Michael.

Challenged with doing a celebrity impression, she was sat alone in the Beach Hut and quoted the current BT Sport pundit.

Gemma said: "There's no way I'm going to do my dad, but people always do the classic, 'If they don't score, they don't win'. It's something like that. It's some bulls*** or whatever."

Dad Michael was born in Chester, attended Hawarden High School, and was selected for the Deeside Area Primary School's Under-11 team aged eight.

He also owns Manor House Stables, set in 160 acres in Malpas. The stables were converted from a cattle barn by Michael and his wife Louise, before commencing business in 2007 as a training yard with 30 horses.
