MEMBERS of the public are being asked to help track down a quad bike thief after an early morning burglary in Wrexham.

North Wales Police's rural crime team launched the appeal for information on Sunday evening.

A spokesman said: "Sometime between 3am and 4am on Saturday, June 25, a 2008 green Polaris Sportsman 500 quad bike was stolen from a property between Ruabon and Pen-Y-Cae.

"The quad has a missing front grill, a missing hinge above the O/S headlamp and a rip on the leather seat cover. 

"It isn’t displaying any vehicle index number. 

"There was also a chainsaw stolen during this burglary. 

"The offender has left on the bike travelling towards Pen-Y-Cae.
