A FEMALE pedestrian suffered serious injuries after a collision with a car.
The incident occurred at about 6.15pm on Sunday on Ffordd Talargoch in Meliden, near Gwaenysgor on the Denbighshire-Flintshire border.
As a result of the incident, the road was closed from the junction with Ffordd Tynewydd to the junction with Ffordd Tanrallt until just after 8pm.

North Wales Police said officers attended, along with colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service, the Wales Air Ambulance and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
A woman was subsequently taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.
