A FORMER Wrexham AFC footballer is being rumoured with a move into the Love Island villa.

The Sunday (June 12) episode of the hit ITV show saw Jacques O'Neill make his debut, who is the ex of Gemma Owen - daughter of famous footballer Michael.

Defender Cameron Green signed a new one-year deal with Wrexham last summer having impressed towards the end of the 20/21 campaign.

But if rumours currently circulating on several media outlets are to be believed, then Green could be set for a dramatic career change very soon.

The rumours suggest that he could very well be swapping the football pitch for the TV cameras soon in amove which would see two of Gemma Owen's exes join the cast.

The Sun on Sunday has reported that Green has previously spent time at Gemma's home and even met her family, adding that the pair had a 'great connection'.

However, Metro reports that he has not been signed up to appear in the series.

Free agent Green's other former clubs include Reading, Watford and Braintree Town.
