A host of prizes including signed football shirts, and tickets to play golf across North Wales are up for grabs as part of a silent auction. 

The Wrexham Prostate Cancer Support Group have teamed up with Senior Executives from the Maelor Hospital Golf Society to host a Charity Auction. 

The aim is to raise funds to enable the purchase of a £60,000 Cryotherapy machine support patients at the Maelor Hospital, Wrexham.  

The groups recently hosted a Golf day at Clays and are set to continue their fundraising efforts.

Iwan Bonds who is the Renal Services Manager at the Maelor Hospital said “We have just jointly hosted an enormously successful golf day and we are optimistic with the profits from the auction it will allow the Prostate Cancer Support group to move a step closer to achieving their target amount.”

The prizes on offer include a signed Wrexham shirt from last season, a Wrexham FC match worn shirt from 1993 signed by the likes of Joey Jones, Dixie McNeil, Mickey Thomas, Arfon Griffiths, Dave Smallman, Barry Horne, Wayne Phillips and Steve Watkin.

Everton FC have also donated a signed shirt by all of the squad.

There are two match tickets located in Carlsberg Dug Out for a game next season at Anfield to see Liverpool. As well as two tickets for the International Lounge at Old Trafford to see Man Utd. 

Golf clubs across the region have provided invitation vouchers to host four players as their guests. The courses include Chester Golf Club (Curzon), Conwy Golf Club, Helsby, Henllys, Llandudno, Marriott Hotel Worsley Manchester, Mold, Old Padeswood, Oswestry Golf Club, Padeswood & Buckley, Portal, Porthmadog, Vale of Llangollen and Wrexham.

There is also an overnight stay at Jubilee House, Wrexham inclusive of 2 Rounds of golf with a buggy at Clays Golf Club, up for grabs.

There is even have a signed bottle of Champagne by Boris Johnson.

Anyone wishing to enter the auction must email wxmpcsg@gmail.com with their details which includes your name, contact number, postcode, and your bid.

You can bid for multiple items as long as you identify the amount being bid on each item.

A reserve price has been set for each auction prize.

The highest bidder will win the prize and this will be announced on Saturday 18th June 2022.
